SmokehouseQ is Hiring a Remote Catering Sales Manager (FT)
The Catering Sales Manager reports to ownership. He/She is not part of operational execution but may join the restaurant team to ensure the event is following standard operating procedures and guests' requests.
This role will actively discover leads while developing and maintaining relationships to secure sales. The Catering Sales Manager will be positive while encouraging and leading the field in ways to satisfy clients. The goal of this role is to grow a book of business for SmokehouseQ.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works with ownership to define market strategy and ways to increase revenue
- Organize and plan daily Catering orders
- Gives a sales projection for each period
- Reaches out to previous clients
- Continuously finds new ways to grow the catering program and client base including cold calling, direct outside sales, and relationships
- Transport & set up Catering orders for clients as needed on a timely basis
- Supports the restaurant's staff by working with them to be successful
- Creates proposals and follow-up
- Up keeps client information
- Response to restaurant and client need promptly
- A high-energy person who has a passion for sales and is result-oriented
- Team Player
- Attend any required meetings
- Ability to have a flexible schedule based on client or restaurant need
- Able to drive to prospect businesses
- Perform any other duties assigned by ownership
- 2 years in B to C sales for a restaurant concept
- Driver's License; must have own vehicle
- Positive track record for growing sales
- Maintains professionalism
- Organized and detailed
- Self-starter in a remote work environment
- Ability to handle tough situations from clients and restaurants
- Experience in selling to a variety of markets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Google workspace for scheduling catering and creating BEO
- Ability to use discretion with confidential information and make sound independent judgments
